Shannon Beador isn't losing any sleep over her ex-boyfriend John Janssen's recent engagement to Alexis Bellino. according to her The Real Housewives of Orange County costars.
"She is happy," Gina Kirschenheiter exclusively told E! News. "For somebody who went through a lot in a small period of time, I feel like Shannon has handled it very well." (Watch E! News tonight, Sept. 26, at 11 p.m. for more from the interview.)
Gina noted that if one of her castmates pursued her current boyfriend Travis Mullen, she wouldn't have handled it as well as Shannon has throughout the Bravo series' current 18th season.
"If I break up with Travis and then a new woman comes on this show and says all of a sudden she's dating Travis," the reality star continued, "I would lose my frigging mind!"
Gina also praised Shannon for keeping her head up amid John’s $75,000 lawsuit and threats from Alexis to release videos from the night of her September 2023 DUI car crash and arrest.
"I would lose my mind," Gina noted, explaining how she would’ve cracked if she were placed under such pressure. "So, I actually think she did a pretty good job, all things considered, of even just getting through it."
Costar Emily Simpson echoed Gina when reflecting on Shannon's "traumatic" drama with her ex this season.
“It was completely out of line,” Emily told E! News of John and Alexis’ behavior. ”On a show, there needs to be a level of drama among the women. I think it needs to be interesting drama, real drama. I think this drama goes beyond boundaries. I think this is more of a methodical way to destroy her. And it's cruel and I don't back that up."
As for Alexis and John's upcoming nuptials, Gina and Emily are not holding their breath for a wedding invite.
As Gina shared, "I wouldn't expect to be. I don't have a relationship with Alexis. I never knew Alexis prior to this and I didn't really even get to know her during this. Also like I've been pretty vocal about her groom, so I really wouldn't expect to have that invitation."
Emily agreed, adding that she's "fine" with skipping the ceremony.
"If I was invited," she noted, "I would be shocked."
See the drama play out when The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And see more of Gina and Emily's E! News interview tonight, Sept. 26, at 11 p.m. on E!.
